From Classroom to Zoom: Create Presentations That Zing

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly altered medical education as faculty rapidly pivoted lectures to online platforms. More than two years into the pandemic, many key components of medical education have pivoted permanently virtual learning or hybrid education options. Faculty will address effective techniques to engage an audience for in person and virtual education, including best practices for hybrid presentations. We will cover case-based instruction, engaging the audience, and slide design. Hybrid and virtual learning opportunities level the playing field for all learners to participate; learning to navigate this new reality is a requisite for 21st century educators. Move from clunky, awkward, or distracting presentations into flawless captivating presentations. We will help participants utilize Bloom's taxonomy, adult learning theory to dive into the post-COVID educational landscape to create equitable, engaging presentations for all learners.
