Overview
This workshop introduces a novel simulation curriculum that offers resource-variable options for diverse educational settings, making high-quality simulation accessible to all institutions, regardless of resources. The curriculum integrates high-fidelity, procedural, in-situ, and ex-vivo simulations. Ex-vivo simulations, in particular, stand out as a practical, low-resource method requiring only a laptop and free software to display vital signs and imaging. This approach allows educators to conduct realistic rapid response and case scenarios in standard classroom settings, removing the need for costly simulation centers. During the workshop, participants will experience an ex-vivo simulation hands-on, followed by small group discussions to tailor the curriculum to their unique needs. Attendees will be equipped with practical strategies to successfully implement simulation in their programs, enhancing both resident engagement and learning outcomes-even in resource-limited environments. This session is perfect for educators who believe they lack the tools or resources for effective simulation; presenters will demonstrate that not only is it possible, but that residents will thrive with these accessible methods.
