Overview
Artificial intelligence (AI) can be a powerful tool to meet education and accreditation administration standards of the program. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of how AI technologies can improve efficiency, address specific challenges within a program, and enhance decision-making at the programmatic (and possibly the institutional level). Participants will discover practical applications, including AI-powered note-taking for crucial PEC meetings, data analytics for ACGME surveys, and strategies for supporting individualized learning plans for struggling learners. The presenters will also look ahead to the future of AI, discussing emerging trends and innovative applications that could further advance program goals while keeping in mind the ethical implications. Whether an administrator, educator, or program manager, this workshop will equip participants with the knowledge and tools to harness AI effectively and creatively. Presenters will explore platforms that use generative pre-trained transformers (GPT) to understand and generate natural language text. This session includes a hands-on workshop with small group discussions, so please bring computers to fully engage in the experience.
